Salary: Grade C - £24,790 - £25,584 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

St. Mary’s are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant, to provide administrative and organisational support to the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to join our strong and experienced team.

You will:

  • help create and maintain pupil records
  • provide administrative support for school visits
  • collate items for the school newsletter and other communications, electronic and paper based
  • assist in the administration of school events
  • input and update school data systems as required
  • ensure the school website is up to date and meets statutory requirement
  • assist with general school office tasks such as answering the phone, printing/photocopying, dealing with queries and administering medicines as required

You will need to be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff as well as visitors to the school. You will have good organisational skills and be able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines in an environment subject to frequent interruptions. A good standard of English and Maths is essential as well as experience in the use of IT with a knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

You should be adaptable and enjoy the variety and challenge of working with others in a busy school environment. You will also need to be aware of and comply with the policies and procedures relating to Safeguarding and Health & Safety.

This is a part-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
